The Golden Age, “The Right Foods”
“Heavy cast aluminum cooking utensils are the best. The ordinary sheet or pressed-out aluminum is not the best.”
A five-page dietary article signed 'By C. E. Stewart' and carrying, beneath the title on page 781, the note '[Broadcast from WBBR by the writer.]' — that is, from the Watch Tower Society's own radio station. It also advises skipping breakfast ('At breakfast is no time to break a fast'), warns that 'Beef eaters lay the foundation for tuberculosis, and pork eaters are inviting the dread disease of cancer', and lists foods to use and avoid.

Provenance and verification note for The Golden Age, The Right Foods
Confidence note. Read in the OCR text layer of the archive.org scan of the 1925 bound volumes on 19 September 2026. The article opens on the leaf mapped to printed page 781, which carries its title and the bracketed note '[Broadcast from WBBR by the writer.]', and the aluminium sentence falls on the leaf mapped to printed page 784; the running head on the neighbouring leaf reads 'SEPTEMBER 9, 1925'. Hyphenation introduced by the scanner's line breaks has been closed up in the quotation; no words have been changed.
Scan provenance. Internet Archive item 'magazines-the-golden-age-1925', which holds both bound volumes of 1925 — volume VI (to September) and volume VII (from October). The cover of this issue reads 'Vol. VI ... September 9, 1925'. Page numbers taken from the item's _djvu.xml leaf mapping joined to _page_numbers.json and cross-checked against the printed running heads.
Notes. This is the same magazine that from at least 1929 to 1935 campaigned against aluminium cooking utensils. The 1925 article was broadcast from WBBR, the Society's own station, which places it closer to the organisation's voice than a reprint would be.
