“In fact the general impression conveyed through your columns has been highly derogatory to the medical profession, and many, as novices, are unintentionally led to believe that our M.D.'s are “all wet”.”
A contributed article taking issue with the magazine's own coverage. It reviews the aluminium, dietetics, vivisection and tonsillectomy material, defends the removal of diseased tonsils, and concludes that doctors 'individually ... are no less capable of honesty and mercy than any other individual'. The issue contents page lists the article under 'Home and Health'.

Provenance and verification note for The Golden Age, Let Us Be Fair to the M.D.'s
Confidence note. Read in the OCR text layer of the archive.org scan on 19 September 2026 on the leaves mapped to printed pages 179-180; the contents page (printed page 178) lists 'Let Us Be Fair to the M.D.'s'. No by-line was legible in the scan; a reader's letter in the issue of 2 April 1930 (page 438) refers to 'an article written by Harold L. Dawson' in 'your December 11 (1929) issue', which is the likeliest attribution.
