On the strength of the third of those measurements, the 1891 edition stated that the last members of the ‘body’ or ‘bride’ of Christ ‘will have passed beyond the vail before the close of A. D. 1910’, and that the four years from 1910 to the end of 1914 ‘will be quite sufficient for the extreme of all that trouble’.

“we may well accept as correct the testimony of the Great Pyramid that the last members of the “body” or “bride” of Christ will have been tested and accepted and will have passed beyond the vail before the close of A. D. 1910. Is not this a most remarkable agreement between this stone “Witness” and the Bible? The dates, October, 1874, and October, 1881, are exact, while the date 1910, though not furnished in the Scriptures, seems more than a reasonable one.”

The practical conclusion drawn from the third Grand Gallery measurement: that the glorification of the anointed would be complete before the end of 1910. The sentence runs across the foot of p. 359 and the head of p. 360.

Confidence note. Pages 359 and 360 opened and read in this session; wording confirmed. The 1891 typesetting uses a 'ct' ligature that the scan's OCR renders as '6l' or '6t' (for example 'destru6lion', 'fa6l', 'jun6tion'). These have been expanded to 'destruction', 'fact' and 'junction' in the quotation; no other word has been altered.

“this date limit — A. D. 1914 — must not only witness the completion of the selection and trial and glorification of the entire body of Christ, but it must also witness the purifying of that larger company of consecrated believers … The four years from 1910 to the end of 1914 indicated thus in the Great Pyramid, will be quite sufficient for the extreme of all that trouble”

The 1891 text treats 1914 as a firm outer limit and states in the indicative what must happen before it.
