“The “seven times” began in October 607 B.C.E., when, according to Bible chronology, Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians.”
The page sets out the same chain as the 2005 appendix and closes: “Applying the prophetic rule ‘a day for a year,’ the 2,520 days represent 2,520 years. Therefore, the ‘seven times,’ or 2,520 years, would end in October 1914.” Its footnote a refers readers to “When Was Ancient Jerusalem Destroyed?—Part One,” pages 26-31 of the 1 October 2011 Watchtower, and Part Two, pages 22-28 of the 1 November 2011 issue.

“The “seven times” represent a period of 2,520 years. That time period began in 607 B.C.E. when the Babylonians removed the last king from Jehovah’s throne in Jerusalem. It ended in 1914 C.E. when Jehovah enthroned Jesus—“the one who has the legal right”—as King of God’s Kingdom.”

“The “seven times” lasted for 2,520 years. If we count 2,520 years from the year 607 B.C.E., we end up at the year 1914. That was when Jehovah made Jesus, the Messiah, King of God’s Kingdom in heaven.”
The simplified successor to the 2005 textbook keeps the same chain in plainer language: “Jerusalem was destroyed in the year 607 B.C.E. That was the start of the ‘seven times.’” and “The 2,520 days are equal to 2,520 years because of the prophetic rule ‘a day for a year.’”
