The article argues that the ‘trampling’ of Jerusalem in Luke 21:24 refers not to the literal city in 70 C.E. but to the interruption of the Davidic kingship, and that the “appointed times of the nations” are therefore a fixed period with “a definite beginning and a definite end”.
