1975 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, “Part 1—United States of America (“Not Immoral”)”
“On the witness stand C. T. Russell emphatically denied the “jellyfish” story, and all this matter was stricken from the court record, the judge saying in his charge to the jury: “This little incident about this girl that was in the family, that is beyond the ground of the libel and has nothing to do with the case.” ... In the suit for separate maintenance, Mrs. Russell's attorney had said: “We make no charge of adultery.””
The Yearbook quotes the “jellyfish” words, attributes them to Mrs Russell's testimony about what a young woman in the household had told her, and then sets out the organisation's answer: that Russell denied it, that it was struck from the record, and that Mrs Russell's own counsel disclaimed any charge of adultery.

Confidence note. Opened on the Watchtower Online Library; page markers 69 and 70 bracket the passage. The Superior Court's reported opinion, which was also read, contains no reference to this testimony, which is consistent with the Yearbook's statement that it was struck.
