Confidence note. The book's existence, author, publisher, year and ISBN were confirmed on 19 September 2026 from Open Library and Google Books' catalogue record, and an Internet Archive item exists (depthexploration0000mant). The book is lending-restricted and was not opened; no quotation from it has been recorded. Vantage Press was a subsidy (author-financed) publisher, which is relevant to how the book should be weighed. [Independent audit, 19 September 2026] The Internet Archive and Open Library records were checked again and both give the title in the plural, 'Depth explorations in the New Testament', Vantage Press, 1980, ISBN 0533045355; Wikipedia's citation of it in the singular, 'Depth Exploration', is wrong. Still unopened, so 'unverified' stands.

[Independent audit, 19 September 2026] A precise target for that reading: Wikipedia's article on the New World Translation attributes the two most-quoted Mantey phrases about John 1:1, 'a shocking mistranslation' and 'Obsolete and incorrect', to this book at pp. 136-137. So those phrases are not sourceless, as an earlier note here implied; they carry a page citation that nobody in this research has yet checked against the page.
