Bible Hub parallel translations, “Luke 23:43 in the parallel English versions”

19 September 2026 · Bible Hub (reproducing the named copyright translations)

“New International Version “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” English Standard Version “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.” King James Bible “Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Lamsa Bible “Truly I say to you today, you will be with me in Paradise.””

Of the major English versions on the page, none punctuates the verse as the New World Translation does. One version on the same page does: George Lamsa's translation from the Syriac Peshitta places the comma after ‘today’, as the New World Translation does.

Provenance and verification note for Bible Hub parallel translations, Luke 23:43 in the parallel English versions

Confidence note. Page opened on 19 September 2026 and all 42 renderings on it read, on Bible Hub's reproduction rather than in the printed editions. Independent audit, 19 September 2026: the earlier wording of this record claimed that ‘all seventeen versions on the page’ place the comma before ‘today’. The page carries 42 versions, and the Lamsa Bible places it after ‘today’. Corrected.

Notes. This quote field compiles renderings quoted separately from one Bible Hub parallel page; it is not a continuous passage. Each rendering was checked word for word against the page.
