The Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence, “Annual Report 1921”
“Monday the thirty-first being the anniversary of Brother Russell's change to glory, the friends assembled in the afternoon at the cemetery, where memorial services were held … A little souvenir of the plot of ground and the pyramid stone marker had been provided, which was distributed amongst those in attendance.”
The Society's own annual report for 1921 describes the convention at Pittsburgh and the memorial gathering at the cemetery on 31 October 1921, the fifth anniversary of Russell's death. The issue header reads 'Vol. XLII DECEMBER 15, 1921 No. 24'.

Confidence note. The bound volume was opened and the passage read in this session; wording, issue and page confirmed. This is a primary Watch Tower source for the existence of a pyramid-shaped marker at the burial plot, and is better evidence than the photographs usually cited for the point.
